Legal persons and/or sole traders:
In accordance with the Mine Action Act (Official Gazette, no. 110/15) legal persons/sole traders with a principal office in an EU or EEA Member State, may perform the following activities in the Republic of Croatia:
- demining by manual mine detection,
- mechanical ground preparation and
- ground inspection with mine detection dogs
provided that they:
- obtain a permission from the Ministry for performing the said activities in accordance with the Mine Action Act,
- have a permission to perform the said activities in their country of origin,
- have a registered subsidiary or separate operation.
Natural persons:
Citizens of the EU and EEA Member States may perform activities of:
- an explosive technician,
- a demining machine operator and
- a mine detection dog handler
provided that:
- they obtain a demining identification card for performing the said activities in accordance with the Mine Action Act
- there are no security impediments identified by security clearance carried out by a competent security and intelligence agency
In order to perform the said activities, legal persons/sole traders and natural persons from third countries must meet all of the conditions stipulated in the Mine Action Act. The same applies to legal persons/sole traders with a principal office in the Republic of Croatia and natural persons holding Croatian citizenship.
