The announcement of International Donors' Conference on humanitarian demining in Ukraine
THE ANNOUNCEMENT
The International Donor Conference on humanitarian demining in Ukraine will be held at Westin Hotel Zagreb on 11 and 12 October 2023. The objective of the Conference is to ensure financial donations and other pledges from countries participating at the Conference for the purpose of humanitarian demining in Ukraine.
Opening statements will make Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Mr Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr Denys Shmyhal (via video conference), Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries Mr Virginijus Sinkevičius.
The first day of the Conference will be dedicated to discussions between the ministers responsible for demining who will be able to present specific pledges and contributions for humanitarian demining in Ukraine on behalf of their governments. One of the participants in the ministerial part of the Conference will be Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Mr Ihor Klymenko.
The second day of the Conference is foreseen for technical discussions between experts from countries participating at the Conference. This will also be an opportunity to present internationally renowned Croatian companies which manufacture demining machinery.

WORKING LANGUAGE AND INTERPRETATION
Working languages for the conference are Croatian, English, French and Ukrainian. Simultaneous interpretations will be provided during the event.
FACILITIES
Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the conference, passwords will be provided at the venue. Live streaming will be available during the conference.
REGISTRATION
All delegations are requested to register before 30 September 2023 via registration form.
ACCREDITATION
Participation at the conference is possible only for accredited participants. Accreditation badges and pins will be distributed for the 2nd Conference Day on the marked Accreditation info points inside the venue.
ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE BY PLANE
Technical welcome and complimentary facilities at the Zagreb airport will be provided for delegations at ministerial level or higher.
TRANSPORTATION
VIP vehicle will be provided for heads of delegation at ministerial level or higher. Embassies are kindly requested to assist in providing the transfers of members of their delegations by Embassy vehicles. Other participants are to manage their transfers individually.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Members of delegations arriving from the countries that require a visa to enter the Republic of Croatia should contact the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in their respective country.

The organizer has made available limited number of room reservations at preferential rates at The Westin Hotel. Please book your accommodation here by 4 October 2023. After that date reservations will be accepted based on room availability. The costs are to be covered by delegations solely.
